Who we are

Over the years, friendships often evolve into profound and deep familial bonds, transcending the original connection that brought individuals together in the first place. Shared experiences, joyful laughter, and the inevitable challenges of life forge an unbreakable trust, transforming casual acquaintances into steadfast allies who support each other through thick and thin. Moments of joy, heartache, and personal triumph create a rich tapestry of memories that intricately weave friends into the fabric of each other's lives, fostering a genuine sense of belonging that rivals even the closest blood relations. As these connections continue to mature and strengthen, they become a vital source of unwavering support, ultimately redefining what it truly means to be family.

Spey fishing with friends is more than just a method; it's a shared experience that shapes bonds and creates memories. As the sun rises and the river’s surface glistens, laughter fills the air and stories unfold. Each cast carries the essence of camaraderie, the rhythm of the water synchronizing with conversations about life and adventures. Season after season, friendships deepen as techniques are refined and favorite fishing spots are revisited. The thrill of a tug on the line is amplified when shared with those who understand the passion of the catch. Spey fishing becomes a timeless tradition, where the connections forged on the riverbank are as lasting as the skill mastered with the rod. Worth The Wait Fly Co. started on the bank of the river, quickly, it transformed into a custom fly tying company that was inspired by the pursuit and passion of 4 spey fisherman to catch big Kenai River rainbow trout over the last 10 years.

Fishing in the Kenai River over these years deeply influenced my love for spey casting. Every fall, I thrill at the chance to cast my line, eagerly waiting a bite from salmon or trout. The stunning scenery of tall spruce overhanging the bank and vast mountains framed our outings filled with stories shared around the campfire after a day's adventure. These experiences strengthened me and taught me important lessons in patience and perseverance. The Kenai became more than a fishing spot; it became a treasured part of who I am.
